The BCConversion^TM is a replacement for BC1, BC2 or BC3 electronics. It is compatible with existing mapping software that work with the original BC3 electronics as well as with the Leica Mapping Terminal (LMT) electronics. A real-time processor interacts with AC10 controllers that connect with the drives and all other parts of the instrument. Analog tacho signals are no longer used to drive the motors. Instead, it uses digital signals at a rate of 1000Hz. This improves driving characteristics and eliminates the need for analog adjustments of the drive electronics.

The BCConversion replaces the real-time computer (Data General DG30, Intel's 80286 single-board computer or PC from ABC, Leica, SoftMap or other vendor) with all of its related components that are hard to find, expensive, or no longer available. The original electronics can be replaced with the BCConversion with a set of screw drivers. We suggest cleaning, checking, lubricating and calibrating the instrument as well.

The BCConversion consists of:

• Electronics in PC box, rack or module enclosure

• BC adapter cable or BC3 adapter cable

• Power cord

• USB flash drive with real-time operating system and controller software

• Documentation and all our source code (GNU GPL license version 2) on a CD.

BCConversion features:

• Compatible with original BC3 instrument. Front panel, parallax knob, and all other components work.

• Compatible with LMT electronics (SD2000, SD3000, as well as Aviolyt Upgrades for AC1, BC, DSR, etc.).

• Compatible with mapping software that works with the original BC3 instruments or with LMT electronics.

• Digital design with no analog adjustments needed.

• Each drive has a dedicated controller capable of 30MIPS with a corresponding latency of 167ns, running drive adjustments at 1000Hz.

• Reliable ELCO/EDAC connectors.

Warranty:

If a problem with the BCConversion is diagnosed by Adaptable Controllers or an authorized reseller during the first 6 month after purchase, defective parts will be replaced at no cost.

If the BCConversion was installed at the same time with all options by an authorized reseller, defective parts will be replaced at no cost for 2 years from the day of purchase.
